I just want to say....
GIANT PSYCHIC WATERBOARDING CRABS!!
Did I mention I love Neal Asher, and his Polity Fiction!
I just realized that one of the core metaphors in his polity-verse is that the Prador are actually stand-ins for Neocons! Dick Cheney is actually a giant flesh eating crab!
I'm just his publisher, so I could be very wrong in this interpretation. But I urge you to read Prador Moon, and The Skinner*, and come to your own conclusions.
*The Skinner is actually published by somone else, but it deals directly with The Prador, and, along side of Prador Moon, provides the basis for my Prador/Neocon interpretation.
